Comedian, satirist and raconteur Te Radar takes an irreverent look at the “non champions” of New Zealand history: the bumblers and “near-do-wells” as he calls them, and their unsung contribution to this great country.
From the men who sparked the great Uranium Rush of the 1960s, to the general who lost his pants and nearly doomed his army after getting lost circumnavigating Mt Taranaki, Te Radar celebrates those who tried, and lost everything (or perhaps just a limb). It’s not just stand-up: he’s got photos and maps in this hilarious romp through the pages of our history.
Eating The Dog won Best Local Show, NZ International Comedy Festival 2009 and Best Comedy, Dunedin Fringe Festival 2009.
